Why "Second Chance" is in our name
We believe everyone makes mistakes — and no one should be forbidden the opportunity to turn their life around. That belief isn't abstract for us. It's the reason we exist.
Many people in recovery carry the weight of charges and debts accumulated as a direct result of their addiction — mistakes they never would have made had they received the help they needed. Because of that, too many are forced to live the rest of their lives reminded of their past, shut out of opportunities, unable to move forward.
We don't think that's how it should end. So we do something about it: we hire people in recovery, we give them real work and real pay, and we stand beside them as they rebuild.

Keeping junk out of landfills
Being eco-friendly is something we take seriously. We recycle what we can and donate what's usable — mainly to keep junk out of landfills and put it back to work for people who need it.
